There's something utterly grating about Luke Russert

intoning in his frat boy nasally condescending fashion about "our young people in harm's way." Just grating.

No one is home right now and I just had to get this off my chest to someone.

Luke may be a very fine, upstanding human being, but that is the perception of him that he has thus far not been able to shake -- at least in my estimation.

Talent totally lacking he is a smirking example of a system that rewards the likes of Chuck Todd. NBC characterized him as THE voice of his generation shows how out of touch the old beltway media can sink. So far his claim to fame is insulting Nancy Pelosi over gender bias and agism for which NBC had to tone him down just a bit. For a few moments he was able to invoke in me sympathy for the likes of Nancy Pelosi.

Out there in in Luke's generation there is some real talent, every time he reports and has an assignment he detracts from the possibility that talent will be realized.
