The war promoters in the Bush Administration gave us the present foreign policy framework.

And you cannot make a silk purse out of a sow's ear.

It was wrong to invade Iraq in 2003. The well was poisoned and nothing that has come out of that well has been helpful for our country or our people.

If the Republicans wish to finally debate that war, then Democrats should welcome the idea with open arms.

Our present foreign policy decisions are centered around our initial invasion of Iraq. It's difficult to imagine how anything good will ever come from that one rotten decision?

Until we face this truth, we will continue to veer from one reckless decision to another and will never free ourselves from the "lie" that has us by the throat.

And I am sick to death of the softball question, "if we knew then what we know now...?" BULLSHIT! We knew then the information used to go to war were lies.

...if the Iraq invasion was wrong decision, then all the policy decisions that follow are also wrong. That is a problem that needs to be fixed.
