Josh Duggar, one of the children in the hit TLC reality show 19 Kids and Counting was turned over to the Arkansas State Police by this father Jim Bob Duggar,who according to a source says the Jim Bob caught Josh leaving a young girls bedroom and later learned something inappropriate happened. The charges sought against Josh was sexual assault in the fourth degree, and took place while Josh himself was still a minor.

(9,457 posts)The technicality seems to be an expired statute of limitations, as the report was first filed in 2005. In Touch Weekly does report however that since this case, the state has lengthened the statute of limitations for such crimes. The state trooper who originally took the report in 2005 never followed up and according to In Touch Weekly, That state trooper was later convicted on child pornography charges and is serving a 56-year prison sentence.

(14,449 posts)He was a minor at the time so wouldn't the case be sealed? Oh he is a horrible but does that trump minor's rights? Kinda scary for all kids who did something wrong to have it come back and haunt them. I guess the brain really doesn't fully develope until 25 or so. This is a slippery slope for all minor's.

That seems to explain how his name could be reported and not the girls. Also, ask yourself how Dad caught him coming out of a girl's room.....was it one of his sister's????

4th degree sexual assault[88] Sexual intercourse,[89] deviate sexual activity,[90] or sexual contact[91] with someone less than 16 years of age where the defendant is at least 20 years of age.
3rd degree sexual assault[92] Sexual intercourse or deviate sexual activity with someone less than 14 years of age where the defendant is under 18 years of age and more than 3 years older than the victim.
2nd degree sexual assault[93] Sexual contact with someone less than 14 years of age where the defendant is at least 18 years of age.
Sexual contact with someone at least 12 years of age and less than 14 years of age and where the defendant is less than 18 years of age and more than 4 years older than the victim.
Sexual contact with someone less than 12 years of age where the defendant is less than 18 years of age and more than 3 years older than the victim.
Rape[94] Sexual intercourse or deviate sexual intercourse with someone less than 14 years of age where the defendant is more than 3 years older than the victim.
