not from there, but I do love pristine beaches.

I keep reading about the damage to the gulf from BP, even now. I just moved to the east coast of FL, so I'm paying a whole lot more attention.

I'm so sick of what oil companies are doing to our environment.

will be disbursed, to the deficit of the wildlife eventually anyway.

Found this on FB-no link to the info, but I've heard a whole lot about this, from CA to HI to AUS. Ugh.

Planting Peace
The Great Pacific Garbage Patch is located in the North Pacific Gyre off the coast of California and is the largest garbage site in the world. This floating mass of plastic is twice the size of Texas, with plastic pieces outnumbering sea life six to one. Roughly one million sea birds and 100,000 marine mammals are killed annually from plastic in our oceans.

I guess I didn't realize it was that large.

The oil seems to be moving farther along the beach. It just completely sucks.

everyday on my way to work and back. This time of year in the morning you could always smell the camp fires and breakfast of the Memorial Day campers. Now all you can smell is oil. And the camp grounds are deserted except for clean up vehicles.
