I have no argument with the decision to delay publication -- it was a news story whereas Obama's announcement was news, and doing so would have looked less like WaPo was using it against Romney as a weapon deliberately. Too bad they didn't actually carry it out.

too early. Any chance this could mean a different candidate being chosen at convention? Is there a way they could possibly do that and have time to get names on all the ballots (please forgive my ignorance of the system here - I guess I could figure that out with a few google searches).

At any rate it shows such a stark contrast between the 2 candidates and that's important when you have folks who think Romney might be more moderate because he was governor of Massachusetts. He's not only not moderate, he's arguably a sociopath given his treatment of others.
