CLINTON CONTINUES TO HOLD DOMINANT POSITION IN CALIFORNIA’S DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY FOR PRESIDENT...

Former Secretary of State and former First Lady Hillary Clinton continues to be the overwhelming
choice of California Democrats in next year’s Democratic primary election for president. Clinton is
currently preferred by 53% of this state’s likely voters in the Democratic primary. Her closest
potential challenger, Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren, receives just 13% support. However,
Clinton’s current level of support is less than it was in February, when 59% of California’s likely
Democratic primary voters supported her candidacy. Over this same period, the proportion of
Democratic primary voters who are undecided has tripled from 7% to 22%.

...

Clinton holds large leads over the leading Republicans in general election match-ups
Clinton holds commanding double-digit leads when paired against each of the leading Republicans
in simulated general election trial heats among the overall California electorate. Against Bush, the
former First Lady leads by a 53% to 32% margin. Against Rubio, her lead is 52% to 31%, while
against Walker, she leads 54% to 30%.

As long as HRC is hitting those numbers I'm content. As long as we don't have to spend money in states like NY and CA it's more money we can spend in states like FL, VA, NC, and CO.

The Pugs don't have to spend money in TX but if we put Julian Castro on the ticket that might force them to spend there. That's less money for battleground states.

That's textbook bullying...

It's ugly behavior and what it makes it more ugly is the fact that it comes from the anonymity of an internet connection. I said I was aggrieved...If I tell someone I feel I am aggrieved and their behavior caused it and they continue in that behavior they are a displaying a lack of empathy.

The poll started on the 23rd of April a week before Bernie formerly announced which already throws some difficulties into it and it includes a numer of candidates who have not announced or are unlikely to announce.

He is just starting to gain traction now and I imagine a sizable chunk (though probably not all) of Warren's support will flow to him.

I am saying that it is way too soon to tell on this one.

I think the Warren support would probably go 75-90% to either Bernie or O'Malley. I think Clinton even getting a quarter of that support is generous.

I have no idea what would happen to Biden's support and am a bit surprised that he is still pulling anything. I think 90% of whatever Biden has will probably go to Clinton.

I think the majority of the people supporting Warren are very passionate about economic issues and regulating the banks. Whatever Clinton's positions most of Warren's supporters have the perception that she has taken a lot of campaign donations from the banks which sort of turns them off. Whether that divide is real or a matter of perception depends upon who you ask, but I don't think people that support Warren are going to spontaneously throw half of their support behind Hillary.

At least not without Warren actually endorsing Hillary.
