Innocent Man Who Spent 40 Years Behind Bars Now Suing Cops for Framing Him

http://yourblackworld.net/2015/05/20/innocent-man-who-spent-40-years-behind-bars-now-suing-cops-for-framing-him/

It seems now almost every week we’re faced with news of anricky jackson inmate being exonerated. Sometimes the wrongfully convicted person is awarded a cash settlement as payment for having wasted their most precious years in prison.

Now one innocent ex-convict is suing the police officers involved in his case for framing him.

Ricky Jackson, 58, spent nearly 40 years in prison after being convicted on the word of a seventh grade boy who later retracted his statement.

In a lawsuit filed on Tuesday against the city of Cleveland, Jackson accuses eight police officers and their supervisors of framing him and his brothers–Wiley and Ronnie Bridgeman–in the slaying of salesman Harold Franks.

The guy who spent all those years in jail might win, and get a lot of money.

FROM CITY TAXPAYERS.

The actual cops, will get no sanctions whatsoever.
Their union should pay the settlement.
Maybe if their union paid those settlements, they might actually DO something about their members who are corrupt, lazy and brutal.

ok, there are many kinds of unions, and this thread has nothing to do with any of them.

A "fraternal order of police" steps in, and they will defend the brutal or corrupt cops to the death.

It was this union, (if the FOP is not a union, let me know,) that is smearing in Baltimore the prosecutor who brought charges against the 6 Baltimore cops.

8. we're talking about a civil case in cleveland, you're talking about a criminal case in baltimore.

apparently some cops in cleveland framed an innocent man 40 years ago, the man was cleared and is now suing the city of cleveland.

this has nothing to do with the criminal case in baltimore. different decade, different city, different everything.

If that sounds simplistic, that is the point.

Legalize weed, decriminalize all other drugs.

And for God's sake, when a team wins the World Series or the NBA championship, let the fans run out on the field like they used to.
