Do you know any capitalists? Think twice before you respond, you may not know even one.

Most Americans believe they are capitalists, almost none of them actually are.

The actual definition:

a wealthy person who uses money to invest in trade and industry for profit in accordance with the principles of capitalism.

Most rank and file cons think they are capitalists, almost none of them are.

Capitalists and capitalism is for the most part why everything is so terribly fucked up in this country, and others.

As a Democratic Socialist, like Bernie, I feel that we must educate the 99% as to who they really are in this big picture, and who they are not.

I believe I owe credit to Thom for making this point a very long time ago, and I have never forgotten.

Someone who invests a small amount and then then becomes rich doesn't suddenly become a capitalist.

Also, what is considered wealthy?

By some definitions, people would consider me wealth, though I'm not exactly flying on private jets all over the world.

It works great as long as we stick with FAIR trade. As soon as the FREE trade neoliberal garbage hit the mainstream, we lost it and capitalism to snake oil and magic pills.

About half were utter assholes with egos the size of a blimp, who treated people like disposable commodities and would cheat anyone they could out of literally anything they could-- I mean everything from a contract to a sandwich.

The other half were disarmingly regular, unassuming sorts of people.
