I was kicked out of my parent's house on Christmas day and did not have contact with them for several years after. The reason? Calling Bush and Cheney war criminals after staying quiet for hours of right wing fox news vomit from the other people there.

Do not relinquish your values.

If not for the birth of my child, I would probably still not be in contact with them. They wanted to be a part of his life. They have certainly moved on past this period of time in their minds, but I have not forgotten.

5. Um, it says they had to wear surgical masks because of the risk of infection,

but then it says Bush cupped the soldier's face in his hands and that his tears fell onto the soldiers face. Seems like the President stupidly put this soldier in risk by sending him to a fight in an immoral war and then stupidly put him at risk again by covering him with germs.

I tread softly with the family. Would you believe the next post was a "Right Wing News" Photo, after that, a post from Rush and Kathryn Limbaugh.

The sentiment is worthy, the posts bother me because of the people and organizations that posted them initially.

Cannot tell that to my Brother-in-law, we'd never talk again. My family is too small to cause a rift that can never be overcome. I keep quiet about politics and religion. Call me chicken but I need to keep the peace. My whole family is 12 people. All others are gone. I take a little comfort in knowing that I will at least get a tear at my funeral.

Most are over 3000 miles away. Distance makes the heart grow fonder.........

9. After years of trying to "make contact" with my family of religious freaks

(the wife loves Mikey Huckabee, yikes), I decided to take action.

They are all out of my will! Even better, my mother took them out of hers...in the event I die first, her sizable estate goes to
charity...animal shelter, women's center! Major victory for me!! Of course, when I inherit, it goes to all sorts of animal sanctuaries
(pigs, research animals, local shelters, as well as women's shelter, food program for the poor, etc.)

Screw them! Never a thank you, absolutely NO EMPATHY in the correct CHRISTIAN WAY...which includes enabling lying and
being in denial over one of their precious sons getting involved in holding drugs...OH, he didn't know!

Revenge is sweet...

The best thing we ever did was to move from NJ to NM...I've gotten to the point I have no desire to see them anymore.

Life is too short to waste energy having to PRETEND and become a liar yourself!

My mother is in hospice care now and they don't give a shit....she practically raised the twins when they were little...
