(11,138 posts)1. If this were a horse race
It would be the 7th race on an 11 race card that doesn't even start until tomorrow. We're staring at the punter odds printed in the newspaper the day before and trying to determine the outcome based on that alone.

(13,218 posts)3. What if it were a horse race
due to be run in a year-and-a-half from now?

would be the trainers and the horses. Handicappers and others would start to take notice if the horses deserved it.

(13,218 posts)5. So there wouldn't be many insipid discussions
Like, "Do you suppose Bushy Head has a chance?"

(12,157 posts)7. At a year and a half
the only discussions would be in the barns and around the kitchen tables of the stables. It's just a weak analogy.

(25,348 posts)8. My point was the (apparent) condenders have just left the starting gate. There's a long way to go.

and then sizes too small will still be at the gate when its over.
I think its over already.
