(115,276 posts)Of course most of them aren't serious; they must know they haven't a snowball's chance in Hell of getting the nomination. I think a few of them might be delusional enough to think they might win (those would be mostly the God-botherers like Carson and Santorum), but the rest of them have to be just in it for the publicity (Trump, Fiorina). But I'm not sure that buying a ticket to ride the clown bus will help in that regard when declared candidates become so numerous that nobody can keep track of them. Faux "News" will make the final decision anyhow.
