I don't think that it will work, but that is another matter. The economics of the flat tax are just fantasy.

I like facts, really.

and get people a fatter wallet since they are not paying to the IRS, it is bigger than 50 cents.

At a policy level he is wrong. But the flat tax is at the center of his middle class policy. It's been at the center of the Heritage foundation types for decades.

We can discuss this at a policy level. I do not believe a flat tax works, or a value added tax for that matter. The proof is in the pudding... every time nations use these schemes economic growth slows down to a crawl. But really, the 50 cent increase is part of a much larger, wrong headed, trickle down based, Anne Ryand economic fantasies.

And with that. I am done.

I prefer to function in what people really say. And it is not like you cannot find the actual speech right at the moment online.
