I'd like a show of hands-- How many think Bernie and Hillary are BOTH good candidates?

I rather suspect that a huge percentage of Du-ers are like myself, and will eagerly support whoever gets our party's nomination next summer, whether that be Bernie, Hillary, Martin O'Malley or someone else. We will each have our favorite in the primaries, of course, but that doesn't mean we hate the other candidates.

Who's with me on this?

1. I'd be happy with any announced or probable candidate.

But my contentment does not reflect probability. Oddsmakers who after all only make money if their odds are roughly accurate are not known for getting results spectacularly wrong all that often, and Clinton is running at evens. Those loudly confident of Sanders' inevitable win should note he's currently at 33/1, an excellent opportunity to make money from the poor acumen of DLC DINO corporatist oligarch dynasty-ioving Blue Dog Republican-lite enabling lickspittles of the 0.00000000001% who are keeping his odds that long, if they have the courage of their convictions.

Incidentally earliest odds I can find for Obama, a bit later in 2007, were 7/2.

5. I have considerable fear of what one candidate represents, so therefore can't support that one

in any way. The one I support is the first (in my rather long life) telling the truth on the national stage. So I cannot in good conscience go with one who's part of the problem.

I recognize that everyone in politics is a politician, and ever human being is a human being with flaws.

But I will support either candidate and I think that's what the question is asking. I'm leaning toward Sanders.

10. I will vote for either candidate over any of the Republican hopefuls.

I support Bernie Sanders because he is much closer to my beliefs on economic issues than Hillary and I am very concerned about the transformation of our country into a plutocracy with a tiny elite, a small middle class and the vast majority of the people just struggling to survive. Despite all the bizarre posturing on this site I see them as essentially identical on social issues.

Hillary being a woman is equaled by in my mind by Bernie being originally from Brooklyn.
