Hillary and inevitability: was there this kind of intra-party kvetching over Gore?

I realize the 2000 election was pre-DU, but I'm curious: does anyone recall this kind of heartburn over Gore's domination of the 2000 primary? I don't -- I don't remember Dems being upset at all by his dominance, even those Dems (like me) who voted for Bradley. Am I mis-remembering?

EDIT: Please not I am NOT talking about the general and Nader. I'm asking if there was this kind of complaining about Gore having no meaningful competition in the primaries.

That's the only contention I remember. It happened at a Democratic volunteer thing I was at in 2000.

A reminder...

Nader in 2000: 'Gore or Bush, which he would choose... Nader answered without hesitation: Bush.'

Ralph Nader 2000 Campaign Interview:
Will Ralph Nader become Al Gore's worst nightmare?

Of more immediate interest, at least to Al Gore, are Nader's respectable poll numbers: 7 to 10 percent in California as of June, 6 percent nationally. If California tips Green enough, Bush could win the state and the whole damn election.

Which, Nader confided to Outside in June, wouldn't be so bad. When asked if someone put a gun to his head and told him to vote for either Gore or Bush, which he would choose, Nader answered without hesitation: "Bush."

Nader flew back and forth between California and Florida, finally spending the most of the last few weeks in Florida, and fulfilling his goal of a Bush Presidency.

I.E. - I've never seen that before - in writing. I've never heard it either.

That's chilling all of these years later.

I thought he was the better option. I know I PERSONALLY did a lot of grumbling to my parents about it (Gore supporters) - and my dad telling me I made no sense since I was actively campaigning for First Lady Clinton <---- little pup got smacked down by her daddy.
