It seems that you can’t swing a cat these days without hitting yet another right-winger who either molested, or was busted with naked photos of, children. With all the controversy surrounding Josh Duggar’s vile abuse of his sisters and one other unnamed victim, one cannot help but think this might be an accepted practice on the Right.

Last week, Joseph Hayon was arrested for trading explicit photos of children between the ages of 2 and 12 using his e-mail account, [e-mail]. Hayon, the second President of the Brooklyn Tea Party and failed “family values” city council candidate — whose slogan was “Our children are out future” — was discovered to be trading the pictures after someone tipped off police to his activities.

During a failed run for the New York state assembly, he pledged to prosecute librarians who make “electronic obscenity” available to the same minors to whose images he enjoys masturbating.

The tip led police to search Hayon’s house in Midwood, where a treasure trove of child pornography was discovered. Law enforcement confiscated two laptops, five desktops, a video camera, a cell phone, and one DVD upon visiting the Tea Partier’s home, according to prosecutors.

I recall a big wig Democratic fundraiser getting busted last year for doing some nasty stuff with a 15 year old boy. He helped raise $500,000 for the Presidents 2012 re-election run.
