Ted Cruz, charlatan

Ted Cruz, charlatan

By Dana Milbank at the Washington Post

"SNIP.................

As he prepared for his presidential run over the last year or so, a hawkish Sen. Ted Cruz has said U.S. policy in the Middle East and elsewhere is a mess because of President Obama’s weakness — particularly his failure to enforce his own “red line” after the Syrian regime used chemical weapons.

“A critical reason for [Vladimir] Putin’s aggression has been President Obama’s weakness,” the Texas Republican said in a typical appearance, on ABC News last year. “You’d better believe that Putin sees that in Syria,” he added. “Obama draws a red line and ignores the red line.”

This takes quite a lot of chutzpah, even by Cruz standards. It’s true that Obama didn’t enforce his red line in Syria — in large part because Cruz rallied opposition to bombing Syria.

I was reminded of Cruz’s hypocrisy this week by Rep. Adam Kinzinger, an Illinois Republican who served three tours in Iraq and two in Afghanistan as an Air Force pilot. Kinzinger, who favors a muscular foreign policy, was one of a small group of House Republicans leading the effort to give Obama authority to bomb Syria in 2013 — but they were undone when Cruz began declaring that bombing the Syrian regime would make the United States “al-Qaeda’s air force.”

But...it can happen for (partially) unexplained reasons. For me, Ted Crud is one of those people.

mean you have them pegged properly. They can be even worse than that creepy feeling. That creepy feeling is you projecting your kindness on certain narcissists. You have to completely change who you are to get the full picture of them. Good people project their good nature on evil people all the time.

...who have been married for 40 years and more than a few will say something like: "It was love at first sight or We knew we were meant for each other the second we met". True, that's a nice romantic scenario and all that but there is evidence to support their own feelings.

Which leads to the thought that perhaps the opposite is true. Regarding the physics thing...reality may be different for each person but alas, I only have questions not answers.

If you're more of a scientific person, you might find this interesting> I've worked on the math but still am awed by the idea that 2 separate particles that intertwined even if they are a billion light years apart. As Hawking said "Something in this reality is not quite right" Of course, if you walk out in the street and get hit by a truck...it still hurts!

But I ramble. Anyway, here's the link

"Every group has a goat—the one member all the other boys and girls make fun of and don’t invite to their parties. Whether you’re a teenage girl or an adult about to embark on a cruise with a bunch of strangers, it’s vital to designate someone else as the goat in order to make sure the goat isn’t you."
