That when engaged on the issue of social and racial injustice, that Bernie Sanders will have A LOT to say and will be the most vocal and vociferous advocate for awareness and radical change.

(62,325 posts)Playing the race card with Bernie is a losing proposition.
The man has long, long history of standing up for Social and Racial Justice.
He spoke about both just this week when asked questions by audience members.
If those trying to smear him were paying attention they would have known that.

(5,937 posts)I really did not know Senator Sanders that well until recently. As in when speculation about his run began. But, I always knew that he was a fighter for racial justice. In the way you pick up on things about a person over the years whomever they may be. So when I began to see these attacks I couldn't believe it. I may have not known a lot about him for a long time but I always knew he was a major voice for the poor, downtrodden, and people of different color and creeds, of all people.

(62,325 posts)of his record. I doubt we'll see much more of that because to be honest, what it did was cause people to ask questions about Hillary's background. She and Bernie are of the same generation. Both were in college during the turbulent era of Civil Rights. It had never occurred to me to ask if she had been active in Civil Rights, as Bernie was, during that time.
Bernie has held his beliefs his entire life, he never had to 'evolve' on these issues, they were a part of him as a person, justice and equality for all people.
Others not so much, they did have to 'evolve' and you have to wonder why.
