The Senate will vote to renew the Patriot Act at 4:00 PM EST today....

In my opinion, the "Patriot Act", just like the invasion of Iraq, was created on a lie, or bunch of lies. The Bush Administration had the information to stop the attack on the WTC and they failed to do so. In the attempt to cover up their incompetence or collusion, they created the "Patriot Act". It has been a failure in every aspect, the most obvious being the desecration of our Fourth Amendment. It is nothing more than an excuse for the war hawks to continue their perpetual war in the Middle East.

Obama wants to keep the Bush abuse of power intact. Most Dems will go along. If Sanders flies back for the vote, he'll vote against as always. I hope Paul and other opponents are able to delay until time runs out.
