Catching pols in LIES with POLYGRAPHS: Is Mitt Romney, like Meg Whitman 20 months ago,

willing to offer to take a polygraph test to verify an alleged memory failure?

In his now-famous interview by Brian Kilmeade on Fox Radio, Mitt Romney said, "I don't remember" leading a group homophobic assault at Cranbrook prep school on John Lauber and cutting his hair, as the Washington Post alleged this week and five witnesses corroborated.

Many people believe Romney's statement was an OBVIOUS lie.

IMO, this is an important character issue, because the American people need a President they can trust, not one whose first impulse under stress is to lie like a sociopath. Imagine a future President Romney (shudder!) press conference, where a member of the WH Press Corpse asks him, "Are there weapons of mass diestruction in Iran?"

In a very similar incident involving Meg Whitman's race for governor 20 months ago, she offered to take a polygraph test to verify her statement that "she did not remember" something important. Is Mitt Romney willing to make the same offer? Will anyone with press credentials or in one of his audiences dare to ask him?

WHAT'S YOUR OPINION?

From http://politicalticker.blogs.cnn.com/2010/09/30/meg-whitman-offers-to-take-polygraph-test-on-maid-charges :

"Meg Whitman offers to take polygraph test on maid charges

Posted by CNN's Alan Duke Sept. 19th 2010

LOS ANGELES, California (CNN) Meg Whitman, California's Republican nominee for governor, denied Thursday ever seeing a letter from the federal government questioning her former housekeeper's Social Security number.

Whitman said she would be willing to take a polygraph test, to prove that she was 'really stunned' to learn just last year that Nicky Diaz Santillan was an undocumented worker.

'If it comes to that, I would be delighted to do that,' Whitman said at a news conference."

He obviously doesn't care about who he lies to and what lies he says.

He is a sick mofo in my opinion.

Sociopaths seem to recognize that they've found a home when they join the GOP.

IMO there are a lot of parallels between her campaign and Romney's.

Whitman proved two things:

One, that all the money in the world spent on a campaign will not convince voters to elect an unattractive, unqualified person, and

Two, when wealthy country club type republicans spout language designed to appeal to the religious-wacko-bigot-racist demographic, they sound condescending, insincere and phony. It might fool the dumbasses but it the middle of the road suburban types will recognize and be offended by it.

They have no conscience and no problem lying. They aren't sweating it; no stress means no stress reaction for the instrument to detect.

Polygraphs only have about 75 percent accuracy anyway. The Green River Killer passed a polygraph test because he evidently had no conscience, no guilt about lying, and hence no galvanic skin, respiration, or heart rate response. Maybe in addition to a polygraph Mitt should get voice stress analysis and a Rosenstein electroencephalograph.

See http://www.abajournal.com/magazine/article/true_lies/

And if Romney passed all those lie detector tests, many would take it as indicating he is a true consciousless sociopath. I know I would.

I'll bet there are a bunch more of these.

Whether he remembers or not, I don't see him saying it was an unconscionable assault. He's saying it is a prank or stupid. I wonder why no one asks him whether the behavior he's charged with is actually criminal. Would he like to see someone who did what he does not deny doing become president?
