Betty White endorses Obama

The actress Betty White is endorsing President Obama for reelection, the AP reports.

White told the AP that she “very, very much favors” Obama, saying that she likes what he has done and “how he represents us.”

The 90-year old actress, in the midst of a late-career renaissance, told the AP that she has generally avoided partisan politics for most of her life and has never backed a candidate for fear of alienating her fans.

Obama wished White a happy birthday earlier this year, jokingly demanding her birth certificate. With Obama chasing the "cool" vote, he could probably have no better a surrogate than White.

I have always liked Betty White - and this is just another reason to like her.... She doesn't hold back as she might have been doing when he was younger.. But it is refreshing to se old persons, be able to say what they want regardless of what come out of it..

I for one, just hope that many more Betty's out there, is standing their ground, and telling the world, and more important their nabours and friends what they really think about.. I'm pretty sure many old womans out there, who is quiet about this, and many other issues would make a change for the better - if they was not afraid about the reactions from friends and families...
