Republicans are like a cornered animal right now

So, we had better be vigilant here because any cornered animal will bite.

This is not the time to let our guard down.

It is time to get tougher. Or we will lose all the gains we have made so fast our heads will be spinning.

Lot of Reaganites still out there who would just love to kick our heads in if we ever give them the chance. And if they ever do get the upper hand again they won't slack off. They will push their bigoted agenda every chance they get. They will go in for the kill. I know how these sick fuckers think because I study them.

Just a little warning.

I seem to remember a quote that went like:

"The vile beast is loudest as it's about to die." (or something like that)

especially here in Wisconsin where the repub controlled legislature is passing right-wing legislation at warp-factor 3......

First, there is the fear that they will lose this opportunity and have to take advantage of every second of it to get their agenda passed.

Second, a lot of the legislation they are passing is designed to permanently damage the Democratic Party and its base; to stifle abilities to raise campaign funds and undermine the ability of the traditional Democratic Base to vote.

It's a two-pronged approach...

God help us if Walker wins.

Any state that gets double the amount of recall signatures needed isn't going to suddenly turn around and love that man.

Look at the mess the repubs have made in those states where they have taken complete control.
Think of Benton Harbor, America's first feudal country.
What would the buggers do if they had an entire country to screw up.
Bush the dumber would be just a prelude.

Like the dimmest son said, "bring it on".

It's not a question of letting down our guard, but keeping a growing and vibrant progressive liberal agenda active. When the fuckers fall, the void must be filled quickly, finally and in perpetuity.

Always vigilant.

They're desperately doing everything they can to weaken us because they know that they can't survive if the populace is informed and able and willing to vote.

So they attack in three ways.

1. Keep the populace as ignorant and misinformed as possible.
2. Do everything they can within the bounds of the law (and sometimes outside the law) to make it more difficult to vote.
3. Make the populace apathetic and hopeless by pushing false equivalence.

I think they see the writing on the wall and are getting more and more desparate. With that group of fascists, desparation could be highly damaging to the people and nation.

Now is not the time to become soft. Be fair, but be relentless. The very destiny of our nation depends on our standing our ground. The issue become one of whether we want a nation where only people that are priviledged at birth have a chance of a good life, or one where everyone that is willing to work hard has a chance for a good life. Democrats stand with everyone willing to work hard to make a better life for themselves and the country, regardless of the circumstances of their birth.
