Arizona's Contraception Inquest a Victory for Corporate America

Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer has signed a law under which employers may refuse to offer their employees coverage for contraception. This isn't just about invading the privacy of half the people in the United States. It's one more piece of evidence that in Republican America, corporations are people.

Isn't it up to the insurance provider what meds are covered, it has been my experience most insurance providers cover some the expence for The Pill. So I suppose the employer can chose what company to go with, they are going to have darn few. It use to be concidered preventative and when weighed against the cost of pregnancy was cheaper. But then what do I know, I haven't had to think about birth controll of many years.

Companies can require their employees to produce a prescription if they want to obtain the drugs for reasons that have nothing to do with reproduction, such as hormone therapy or acne.
