George W. Bush: ‘I’m for Mitt Romney’

Mitt Romney has the support of George W. Bush.

“I’m for Mitt Romney,” Bush told ABC News this morning as the doors of an elevator closed on him, after he gave a speech on illegal wars a block from his old home — the White House.

Bush’s endorsement isn’t a surprise, given that Romney is virtually the Republican Party’s nominee. But the 43rd president has been absent from the 2012 campaign and hasn’t made any public comments showing his support for Romney.

-------

People who worked in the Bush administration say they doubt the former president will be campaigning for Romney this year. Even in his post-presidential life, Bush still gets a lot of the blame for the poor economy, according to polls, though he has become more popular since leaving office.

Hello, this is PolitiPoll. We're conducting a survey to see if you like or dislike George W. Bush.

I like him out of office!

Thank you. We value your input.

Leaving Office might have been the only thing he did right in 8 years. Walk out, board the plane and head for Texas never to return. If he'd only done it sooner.

But, I am not seeing that happen with W. I seldom hear even a hard core Republican defend his actions. Of course he is going to vote for Romney and I am sure he will give money. Maybe he should have stopped while he was ahead.

Maybe we can get him to campaign for Romney!

Shit-for-Brains just drove the last nail in Mittens' campaign coffin.

Not as if it wasn't a foregone conclusion however. I love it.
