Yes, I've known ignorant screwballs who tried to turn cats into vegans. People, it DOES NOT WORK unless you want a cat to live in misery until it dies of malnutrition at a young age.

(23,970 posts)...loves spinach and arugula. Whenever we put together a salad, he is right there waiting for his treat. He recognizes the particular crackle that the bags make. He likes me to hold the leaves out in front of him, and he will either stand up on his hind legs a grab a leaf with both paws, or reach out and snatch it with his teeth. He is as enthusiastic about this as if we were offering him tuna.
And yes, I have looked it up and small amounts of these greens are safe, and no, we are not trying to turn him into a vegan.

If we leave them out, they vanish and when we find them they're chomped and chewed.
Dunno if cats are sensitive to capsaicin.
