Mystery object almost causes plane crash over Denver

Federal Aviation Administration is investigating.

It is thought most likely to have been one of three things:

military drone
remote control model aircraft
large bird

Apparently it is not thought to have been an alien spacecraft. Yay.

Because that would hurt the nascent military drone business.

I vote for large bird. The market for large birds is down anyway.

My husband flies all sizes and types of remote control model airplanes, and he's never heard of any rc plane flying at 8000 feet, which is the altitude the airliner pilot said he was flying when he almost collided with the object.

And who names their kid "Williard", anyway? Does he have siblings name Renaissance, Sheraton, and Rodeway?
