Poll asks about "impression of Mitt Romney's proposal to cut federal income tax rates by 20 percent"

Check out this question from the ABC/WaPo poll:

Q: Do you have a favorable or unfavorable impression of Mitt Romney's proposal to cut federal income tax rates by 20 percent?

48 percent favorable (33 percent among Democrats)

http://www.washingtonpost.com/page/2010-2019/WashingtonPost/2012/05/16/National-Politics/Polling/question_4754.xml?uuid=4d-dKJ9GEeGMZlBQ1Bnm9A

No details, just give the impression that everyone is going to get a 20 percent tax cut. Still, there are a lot of Americans who seem to buy into the tax cut nonsense. Or is it "my pocket" over "common good"?

Romney's plan actually raises taxes on low income Americans.

On top of the $1T+ deficit, how do you expect to pay for the additional $500B loss of revenue? Bonus question for those who believe in Santa Clause and the Tooth Fairy - which side of the Laffer Curve are we sitting on and justify your answer with facts? Second bonus question - what is the per capita adult spend for defense in this country and how does that compare to your federal tax bill (try $3,800 for the spend).

Great!!

Jesus, I'm astounded that this guy is taken seriously at all, and here there are supposedly a significant number of voters who think all that matters are tax cuts.

Or when Nana thinks the lime jello is your uncle, on a kind and patient day.

Let's put the hose job in the reality to the side and just deal with the wildly irresponsible stupidity of killing revenue further.
I think this illustrates that most of these folks are bullshit about deficits and are just using it them as a punching bag to kill spending on anything that remotely benefits us "small people" or that can be privatized and turn somebody a profit.

Deficits don't matter to these folks one bit, they actually LOVE them, they just like the hole to be dug with military spending and lack of revenue unless funding the MIC and the security state can be placed solely on the shoulders of the "small people".
