My new strategy for dealing with online wing nuts: Telling them that they're full of shit

That's pretty much it.

I rarely go after wing nut comments, looking for a fight. Usually the wing nuts come after me after I've posted something in a comment section. Before, I used to give them a wall of words as a reply. A huge, poly-syllabic onslaught of facts, with a healthy dose of sarcasm thrown in just to spice it up a bit. Like idiots, they kept it up, which resulted in long, tiresome battles. These were pointless marathon sessions.

So now, I've decide to try something completely different: Dismissal.

No more long essays, filled with point-by-point facts. I just simply tell them that I DON'T BELIEVE THEM.

No more debates. I just simply tell them that THEY'RE NOT CONVINCING ME OF ANYTHING.

I don't call them stupid (Even if they are), I just don't give their lack of smarts any respect; I call them racist (even if they're loathe to admit it), even better when they're calling the President a "racist" themselves (how ironic); I tell them that I doubt that any woman would give it up to them (that's strictly for the misogynists); and when their logic is left exposed, I use their own words against them (mockingly).

Results: They've actually SHUT THE FUCK UP! Several No Replies on Yahoo and another asshole couldn't handle it because, like a fucking coward, he blocked my from replying on his You Tube vid.

BOOYAH!

This is freedom from "Freedumb", baby.

What a breath of fresh air.

Simply give them a failing grade and tell them to try again, using actual facts the next time instead of the made up ones.

It's all good.

GOP voters' idea of a Fair and Balanced media:

When the RightWing media machine developed over the last 30yrs by a Korean cult leader is agreeing with the RightWing media machine developed over the last 30yrs by an Australian extortionist.

I swear some of them don't even KNOW who has been guiding their political belief systems over the last 30years. No wonder they hate the US government - they get their news from two anti-American global fascists.

40 years of right wing skewered media and GOP talking points have warped many a mind. When you look at who's really in charge of Fux News - Rev. Moon, Rupert Murdoch, and Prince bin Talal - not a single one is American - and they all only have one goal: absolute greed. It's disturbing when you think about it.

This whole network of foreign media owners didn't happen in a vacuum, it came on the heels of GHWBush, Prescott Bush and Jackson Stephens dealings with Chinese industrialists in the mid70s that would be the major step taken by the NWO gang - setting up China as the manufacturing base (Walmart-China deal) while collapsing a huge chunk of US manufacturing. The US would be turned into a service economy.

based on lies at a cost of trillions of dollars.

I have found that the use of SHUT THE FUCK UP BECAUSE YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT also works pretty well.

Some people out there are capable of having a real conversation about issues. That's great.

Other times you'll be in a conversation and suddenly you can feel it. The canned talking points come out and suddenly you are not having a genuine discussion.

Just don't accept the bullshit. Say "stop now".

Belittling the opposition only hardens them against you.

Overly verbose explanations bore them.

You can't convince someone who is ideologically wedded to a certain frame of thought. The best way to 'turn' them is to live a better example and make them aware of where your loyalties lie. But in a more subtle way than mocking them.

I've never seen mockery convince someone to change their mind.

I'm only interested in getting them to leave me alone and in shutting the fuck up.

I found out a long time ago that it's nigh on impossible to change the minds of fools who barely possess the requisite amount of neurons to operate their own autonomic nervous systems.

When they actually leave me alone, with whatever bullshit that they continue believe, I consider that a win on my part.

Once you learn how a right-winger thinks, all you need to do is call them stupid, and they acknowledge you won the argument.

On my Facebook. Oh boy is he on a rampage. Glenn Beck has sent out the marching orders to his army of stupid. They're supposed to save (save I tell you!!!) this country by reporting aticles from Beck's website, "The Blaze".

The latest buffet of tripe includes a rant about Obama adding comments onto the White House presidential biographies. My FB friend exclaims, "Obama is rewriting history!!!". There's an article about Jerimiah Wright snd a huge screed about how Obama is a total fake and that his personal history and narrative is all fabrication. Apparently, Obama is a secret Marxist-Socialist-Muslim who plans to use the Presidency to install radical Muslim into this nation. They believe this stuff; and they are stockpiling food and investing in gold.

Seriously...what do you say? Beck has got these fools convinced that they've got the inside scoop and that they're the only ones with the truth. He's got them amped up on fear. It's quite the circus.

I say nothing. So far, no one really responds to him. What can you say to such absurdity? I did respond once with, "So how 'bout those Cubs?".
