5. I hold out hope that

the jury that eventually hears this case comes to it with open minds. With no preconceived ideas. Hears the evidence in the court for the first time and reaches a rational conclusion.

The problem with cases like this being tried in the media is that there are no rules of evidence in the media. There's no cross examination. There's no rebuttal. Just about anything can be reported, true or false, and even the true stuff can be reported with no contextual information.

The defense will not be able to claim that Martin was stoned out of his mind on drugs. The evidence doesn't show that kind of level. The prosecution would easily present evidence that the level was low, and the judge would have to allow the counter-evidence.

And don't forget, even a winning case doesn't need 100% of the evidence 100% on its side.
