Yemenis launch anti-drone campaign

SANAA, Yemen, May 18 (UPI) -- Yemeni activists said they launched an Internet campaign to convince the United States to stop using unmanned drones against militants in Yemen.

The effort on Twitter asks Web users to oppose drone attacks, stressing that unintended civilian casualties are mounting.

France 24 said many Web users believe American drone attacks against terrorists are counterproductive and actually encourage terrorism in Yemen.

Forty-six civilians have died in drone attacks in Yemen, France 24 said.

Don't they know how serious the war on terror is? The average Yemeni should be proud to pay for our freedom with their lives. It's certainly a cost we're willing to bear.
