Shouldn't we be putting the blame on Kentucky State Legislatures?

I keep hearing that the only way to remove the bigot Kim Davis, it has to come from KY State Legislatures.

And I keep hearing that ain't gonna happen?

If so....shouldn't the bigot buck stop there?

You would have to have a number of people write up paperwork and agree on things, even before it went to the legislature, which as noted above is not in session.

'As an elected official, Davis is difficult to fire. Friday’s request for misdemeanor official misconduct charges against her by the Attorney General begins a slow process that could only actually kick her out of office if the state legislature votes to impeach her. She has also risked contempt charges by continuing to refuse to issue licenses in defiance of a court order.'

But impeachment is almost impossibly unlikely. Even nominal Dems here are often closer akin to Dixiecrats than even moderate Dems nationally, and nothing on earth would make most of them stand against someody who has wrapped themselves in the cross so effectively. It would be instant political suicide. Nothing outranks the God card here.

not be elected. It's a job, maybe it ought to be just a government job. Or there should be some loophole for cases like this. If the person simply does not show up to do the job, the only way to deal with that it vote them out at the next election.

We all love democracy when we win. Unfortunately if I had to guess I'd say this clerk is guaranteed reelection for a while.
