Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsGrayson (D-FL) is hugely disappointing.
I get he is running in FL, but pandering and repeating the GOP talking points about the Iran Deal (independently of how he will vote in the end) is really sad.
I am happy not to vote in FL (though my congressman -Neal, MA) is technically still undecided), because the primary choice between Murphy and Grayson would leave me very unhappy for very different reasons.

(14,093 posts)I've always been a tad leery of Grayson, despite his usually progressive record. Seems to be way too much of a grandstander and showoff.
Anthony Weiner irked me in the same way, pre-meltdown.

(19,537 posts)DWS is working against Obama who appointed her in blocking an Iran resolution in the DNC likely to keep Florida voters happy too.
I'm also wondering if perhaps in addition to a large Jewish population, and fear of Iran as a source of terror, if they also have residual memories of being closest to Cuba during the Cuban Missile crisis that keeps them that much more concerned about nuclear weaponry as well.

Grayson is supposed to be a gutsy guy, but he is wavering and mouthing RW talking points. No excuse.

Not happy with Grayson's stance on this, but I am not voting for any more members of the New Democrat Coalition.
I do live in Florida, and am not voting for Wasserman-Schultz or her little pack of DINOs any more.

Remember, this is the guy who calls himself "the Congressman with Guts."
Now he's cowering in fear of a tough vote?

These attacks are part of the process. If a candidate cant take a hit from the New York Times or Fox News, how are they going to stand up to Putin when he demands Alaska back?
Complete story at - http://www.washingtonpost.com/news/powerpost/wp/2015/09/01/howard-dean-the-case-for-hillary-clinton/
What's Dean trying to do? Out Republican the Republicans? None of the current Republican candidates has said anything quite as stupid as this... Shocked that Dean would go the fear-mongering route...

(68,868 posts)I didn't much care for him or Murphy going into this summer, but now I have a very strong preference for Murphy, who appears to be both more responsible and more electable.

(14,255 posts)the New Democrat Coalition. Before they polished up their website, they were quite proud of eschewing ideology and working with the GOP.
Plus Murphy was a republican until 2012, when he switched just so he could run against Allan West. Not a change of heart, by any means. He too is being polished up as a shiny new liberal, but I will not vote for DINOs anymore.
