The connection between the drowned Syrian refugee boys & that POS Stephen Harper
The two young Syrian boys and their mother who drowned off the coast of Turkey actually had relatives in Canada willing to sponsor them but the Harper government turned down their application. Harper and his mindless lapdogs have done nothing but lie about helping Syrian refugees. They spin all sorts of numbers but only around 500 Syrians have found refuge in Canada

Speaking to Canadian press on Wednesday night, Abdullah Kurdis sister Tima, a hairdresser in Vancouver who emigrated 20 years ago, said the familys application had been rejected.
I was trying to sponsor them, and I have my friends and my neighbours who helped me with the bank deposits, but we couldnt get them out, and that is why they went in the boat, she said. I was even paying rent for them in Turkey, but it is horrible the way they treat Syrians there.
She posted a Facebook tribute with pictures of the two small boys, saying: My deepest condolences to my brothers family who suffered a tragic death in search of a better life. Where is the humanity in the world? They did not deserve this. My heart is broken. Rest in peace Angels.
Terry Glavin, a Canadian journalist, told BBC Radio 5Live that Tima Kurdi had told him how her brother had desperately tried to save his family.

B.C. relatives of the boy said they had applied to bring his family to Canada as refugees, but their bid reportedly had been rejected. The boy's family had been trying to flee to Europe by boat before his body was found.
New Democrat Fin Donnelly, acting in his capacity as MP, said he brought the B.C. family's case to Alexander's attention earlier this year. It was later rejected.
Speaking on CBC News Network early Thursday, Donnelly said the boy's family had been doing everything they possibly could to sponsor them to come to Canada.
"It was terrible and obviously action was needed," he said. "That's why I agreed to do what I could, including personally talking to the minister about her case."
