It like using a dime as a screwdriver. Sure it kind of works, but why not use a screwdriver?

The Leaf is an excellent commuter car for commutes up to 60-70 miles round trip/ Double that if you can charge at work.

The 2016 model will increase that range to 80-90 miles, and the 2017 model will (if promises are kept) push it to around 120-150.

(I know that higher miles are reported, but I am talking reality, not advertising).

The car for a 500 mile trip is the Chevy Volt, or if you have lots of money, a Tesla.
