tired of paying for the kim davises of this country. first, as taxpayers, we are paying the

salaries of these non-working PUBLIC servants. now, as taxpayers, we are having to pay to keep this self-absorbed drama queen in jail. can we start a class action lawsuit to get our money back?

But, no, there is no standing for taxpayers as a class for suits like this. "Taxpayer standing" arguments have been used in lawsuits against wars, it's been used in Obama birther lawsuits, and a variety of crackpot legal actions.

There is no standing for that. But what happened today is much bigger than that.

I was really hoping that the judge would limit the penalty to a substantial fine only, not incarceration...the judge may not have had a choice however. Putting this person in jail was the worst thing that could have happened from any pov.

The religious right now has their "martyr" so to speak (even though a "martyr" usually dies when becoming a "martyr&quot but that is a fact that will not matter. None the less the focal point is now clear. One Senator has already released a statement in solidarity with said "martyr". Over the next few days the flood gates will open and the horrible injustice of the godless heathen (a.k.a activist judge) will deluge the airwaves and it will sow the seeds for others to follow in the footsteps of this event. Dan Savage was 100% correct in his reading of this....I was really hoping him wrong on this but...

And the religious right will curse such efforts, because they don't care about the law. All they care about is enforcing their religion and punishing gay people.
