And, to his just go somewhere else argument ... Well, the SCOTUS has already answered that in Brown v Board of Education (separate but equal) ... in Brown it wasn't that there weren't schools available to Black students, it was that schools that were available to white students, weren't available to Black students.

wants to do, and justify it with her religion. The US has a sickening history of sometimes kicking people around and often the kickers get kicked in the end! Kim Davis is exactly where she should be, and stay, until she understands the clerk's office is not a pulpit or resigns. It's all up to her.

She is a clerk for gods sake, a paper shuffler, she's essentially just certifying that the people applying for the license are who they say they are. It isn't up to her to approve or disapprove what they are doing or who they choose to marry, smarter people than her have already made those decisions.

My cousin was the city clerk and she got sort of self important after a few years in the job, because she had to sign things like resolutions approving multi million dollar budgets or bond issues. She actually deluded herself into thinking she was the one making the decisions about these things. Best thing that happened to her was she found a new boyfriend, decided not to run for re-election, and moved to Seattle.
