Ga. cops go to wrong home, shoot owner, his dog and one of their own cops.

DeKalb officers responded to a possible burglary, but went to the wrong house on Boulderwoods Drive.

Two officers encountered a dog, fired their weapons and killed the dog in the kitchen, the GBI said.

A homeowner exited a room off the kitchen and was also shot by the responding officers, the GBI said.

The officer was shot in the hip — likely by another cop, the GBI said.

The incident on Boulderwoods Drive is the fourth controversial police shooting in DeKalb in just under two years.

Kill every motherfucker in the house and figure it out later?

I think Dekalb needs an opt out clause. I'll take my chances. Thieves are worse shots and, unlike cops, MIGHT leave the dog alone.

Shit.

It is costing this backwoods area millions of dollars in law suits. At a time when the County doesn't even have the monetary resources to run its schools decently.

But I doubt it will change any time soon.

call the police when your house is being burglarized for fear that the cops will shoot you and your family and neighbors. Sounds like the people of DeKalb are better off if they flee their homes or, if they have a gun, defending themselves. Whatever you do, don't reach out to the cops for help.

Grab your cell phone, run outside, then and only then call the cops.

Hide behind a tree.

When the shooting dies down, congratulate the survivors, if any.
