Woman Sprints In To Save Fox

The hounds are zeroing in on a tiny fox when a woman sprints towards them. She starts screaming at the dogs to get them to stand back.

She throws her own body on the fox and brings the shaking animal into her arms.

As she runs away with the fox, the hunters shout at her from their horses: "Leave it!"

should have been outlawed decades ago. This is not a sport by any definition, but it is animal cruelty.

the law is not easily enforced.

I'd say the traditional hunt dress would make the job easier.

as devils advocate I must say, don't ever try this DUers.

Hunters can be drunk and picking up wild animals with your bare hands is generally advised against due to the fact the fox might not like you very much.

they do not actually shoot the animal - instead they f**king let the dogs tear it apart.

Update - from Wikipedia:

"The hunt continues until either the fox evades the hounds, goes to ground (that is takes refuge in an underground burrow or den) or is overtaken and usually killed by the hounds. In the case of Scottish hill packs or the gun packs of Wales and upland areas of England, the fox is flushed to guns. Foxhound packs in the Cumbrian fells and other upland areas are followed by supporters on foot rather than on horseback. In the UK, where the fox goes to ground, terriers may be entered into the earth to locate the fox so that it can be dug down to and killed, and this is carried out as a form of pest control."

I put it down as a price for living out in the country.(although I don't have the hens' opinion on that!) The foxes are beautiful. Planning a day around seeing a fox torn apart by hounds is barbaric.

I'm not against all hunting. Here in the East deer herds need to be culled for their own health to prevent over crowding and starvation. AS long as it's a quick, clean kill and the meat gets eaten, I'm OK with it.

I think the alternative to deer hunting will be an ecology in which coyotes and pumas ( ) do the thinning.

My Step Mother-who probably murdered my father in England-still is a member. She had his will re-written to dis-inherit his 3 kids from his 1st marriage. He then was injured seriously in a hunt accident as a guest in England Dec 3? 1973-and allowed to go without assistance till he died 17 hours later.

How that is possible I have no idea I was a kid. And I remember I was told "you didn't want him to be a vegetable?" as a reason he was left w/o care. That kinda made sense when I was a kid.

She has drained his trust & we have never gotten a penny after we were no longer minors. I recently found out she has managed to keep her house & 3 acres-In Palo Alto ca-out of the estate. even though it was paid for by the trust. The property is worth millions & then some. And she will give it to her side of the family I'm certain. because she is just freaking pure evil. And I have zero recourse this is all legal..

Sheesh.

Anyhow-yep they tear the Fox apart. And they tore a few peoples doggies apart when they were happened upon out on a hike unexpected. Lawsuits settled a few times if I remember right. Nowadays they should be using "drags" or scented cloth bags towed behind a trailblazer horse. It was outlawed for live hunts in California before my Dad died IIRC .

My Dad was a sadist at best. Shot a dog of ours. This was after it was dumped 30 miles away.It walked home-on freaking X-mas eve morning. Rich but too cheap to pay the vet bill so he dumped him-then when it came home he shot it.

He also big game Africa hunted. I posted about that when Cecil was killed. Sadist like I said...

But for the love of whomever-why my Stepmother has been allowed to get away with this -we were all juveniles & had no legal representation. And I talked to a attorney about the property she owns-all legal. Rich people get to be freaking sociopaths & not a problem. They see no moral issue whatsoever-we kids were given great genes what more would we need?

Glad to be an EX member of the lucky sperm club. But damn I want my heritage back(sorry for the rant).
