Does anyone know if the lawsuits for civil rights violations have been filed in Rowan county yet?

I was just curious if any of the couples have filed suit against the county and specifically Kim Davis for violating their civil rights. Links would be appreciated. Thanks.

How do you think Kim Davis wound up in jail for contempt? The Velveteen Ocelot Sep 2015 #1

Maybe I'm asking the question wrong.

Shouldn't the plaintiffs be entitled to compensatory damages for having their civil rights violated? It seems to me there would be a jury trial, guilt or innocence, and if found guilty a monetary award. IMO it is clearly a civil rights violation and those lawyers aren't cheap!

The order referenced above was on a motion for a preliminary injunction filed with the complaint.

The lawsuit is proceeding, this is just the motion stages so far.

filing suit against Davis and the County for violating THEIR religious freedom and expression in the workplace. Particularly since some were more than willing to fill out the marriage applications, but weren't allowed to under HER order and HER order was based on HER religious freedom.

Seems to me they should have the same religious rights as Davis was claiming for herself.

If she thought she was going to hell for issuing marriage licenses to gay couples, what does it
say about her that she set up a situation to allow her deputies to go to hell in her place by going to jail
instead of resigning? Once she resigns, people who aren't concerned about going to hell for following
the law can take control of the Clerk's office.

Not much of a Christian. But we already knew that. This is all about Kim and some fantasy
she has of herself of standing in for God.
