Stephen Colbert interviews Jeb!

Jeb! was on Stephen Colbert's debut on The Tonight Show. Many politicians would have loved the free publicity, but Jeb! might as well have mailed in anything he had to say.

He told the usual tale about the great things he did for education when he was governor of FL. (He introduce vouchers, trolled the teachers and all but destroyed the FL education system.)

And when Colbert pushed him a bit about his brother, George W., Jeb! gave a stock GOP answer about too much spending and how he would "fix" the economy.

Jeb! has about as much charisma as Mitt Romney, so even if Trump falls by the wayside, I don't see Jeb! as that big a threat in the general election. Then again, Repubs don't need to win elections when they can steal them instead.

Unfortunately, Colbert couldn't shred him up because it wasn't Comedy Central, but CBS. And they'll let Colbert go just so far.

Report. I didn't stop to think that on a new network, I might not have that option.
