Beau Biden would have been a president. JFK Jr Had possibilities too. Paul Wellstone too. And their lives ended tragically. Meanwhile we have all these sick, bigoted, racist, mean and despicable POS to look at every day. There is not a single one of the GOPPERS who is worth a shit. And if they had brain surgery you would have to hire a proctologist.

The reality just makes you want to spit nails. And I met Beau in Denver at a political dinner a couple of years ago and he was someone with potential for real greatness. He would have been another JFK.

I was fortunate enough to see JFK in a motorcade in Springfield, Illinois in early 1963 close up. JFK had a real presence even just passing by. And Beau had the same kind of presence.

Life can be so damned unfair. It just make you feel nauseous every time I see one of these GOP pricks.

Can you believe that one of our uncles - who wrote the obituary - wouldn't put his name on the obituary, because this uncle is a hotshot attorney who doesn't want to be associated with the less affluent members of the family? Consequently, no one was listed as survivors outside the immediate family, so he wouldn't look like an ass leaving himself out of it. But this uncle's kids will inherit everything my cousin owned, which is no small amount.

He did let them claim as survivors my cousin's 2 well-off brothers and his mother, who treated him like crap and couldn't care less that he's gone. But none of us who spoke to him regularly and truly loved him were even listed. Pretty disgusting.

Sometimes I can't stand my family. Lots of heartless, thoughtless people I am glad to no longer associate with.

All those men you mentioned would have been so damn good for the country.........and they were all cut down so early, before they hit their prime.

I've lost several close friends right here on DU: WCGreen, Redstone, Khashka...all cut down before they should have been. My grief has been made deeper because there are so many evil people in power still walking around, and these men here on DU are gone. It just kills me.

Why did Byrd of West Virginia get sick. It was just enough to need a compromise for the health care bill we now have. I asks my wife these questions and say, it's almost like the right wing has God on their side. She disagrees and so do I. But my whole adult life, it has been like that, even my childhood. I woke up the next morning and my dad told me RFK was dead. It was so bad.
