Sep 11, 2015 5:04 PM EDT- Kim Davis could face criminal charges if she continues to defy court order

This gets more insane day by day. I hope the judge throws the book at her.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- Out of jail but still defiant, Rowan County clerk Kim Davis returns to work for a potential showdown on Monday.

When he released her from jail, Judge David Bunning ordered Davis not to interfere with the issuance of marriage licenses to same sex couples.

If she defies that order, Davis could very well be right back behind bars, or worse. Less than a week after her fans celebrated Kim Davis release from jail, could she soon return?

Few know for sure what Davis will do when she goes back to work Monday, but signs point to her continued defiance of a court order to issue marriage licenses to same sex couples.

Prior to Davis leaving the jail on Tuesday, her attorney flatly said she will not change her mind.

University of Louisville law professor Sam Marcosson says Davis risks putting Judge Bunning in a position of having to show he’s serious.

Marcosson says Judge Bunning could send Davis back to jail, fine her, or both until she complies. Or Bunning could go a step further and put her on trial for criminal charges.

“If that happens, then she goes to jail for up to 6 months, and she has to serve that sentence. The idea is to actually punish her for defying federal law. And it could be that Judge Bunning has in mind going to criminal contempt if she continues to defy his orders on Monday,” said Marcosson.

Marcosson says the Davis case will set an important legal precedent.

“We don't want each public official to be a rule of law unto themselves. That's the problem with Kim Davis' position,” he said.

But Davis' friends seem to have little doubt as to what will happen on Monday.

I know that Kim Davis, in Judge Bunning's courtroom, was adamant that she would not comply with his orders, not out of disrespect to him, but out of a greater respect to God".

Lets rewind to 2007 when Ron Paul spoke a LOT of truth and got people to actually give a shit for once about their government and how by not being involved, nothing changes for the better... he was in many ways like Bernie Sanders is now and thus Paul ignited the Tea Party movement and developed a massive loyal following. That campaign also began the libertarian movement that WOULD have saved the GOP and was starting to bring in massive numbers of new voters from all sides of the aisle. Despite his loss in the primaries in 2008, the Libertarian movement continued to grow (along with the Tea Party) and then in 2010 the Libertarian movement was tossed out by the religious extremists who hijacked what was a respectable tea party political group before hand. The GOP saw Libertarians as an imminent threat and funded and pushed the extremists to do whatever they needed to stomp out the rise of "common sense" and cooperation within the party. Then after 2010's elections, the Republican Party was even further hijacked by the extreme far right religious extremists. And now they are indeed an immediate threat to national security as those deluded people actually think that our president wants to take everyone's guns at any given moment's notice, start some racial war, and implement martial law to invade every state. These people are extremely dangerous and beyond deluded and its it now time for the true honest Republicans, Democrats, and the United States Federal Government to attack these terrorists with every and all means necessary. These people cannot be reasoned with as they have descended into madness and cannot any longer separate a self created fantasy nightmare world from reality. The down side is that as this unfolds, the GOP will be dragged down and will endure historic defeats at all levels of government and 2016 especially will be a slaughter as logical minded Americans will reject any Republican candidate as they will automatically be tied to these terrorists.

democrats worked together to broker solutions. It kind of kept everything in balance. IMO that started going downhill after President Eisenhower. Now, the GOP has become a tent of crazies and religious wackos, and domestic terrorists IMO. I think more and more Americans are finally getting what the NEW GOP is all about.
