it has to stop. Many years ago I was with my African American friends and the 9 year old boy did something like talking back. I don't remember what, but his dad started punishing him. I don't think he hit him, but what ever he did they could tell by my expression that I disapproved. They brought me up short. I was told in no uncertain terms that I had no idea what he was going to face in the future and they needed him to not create situations. He is a really fine, educated, talented man. I really didn't think of this often...didn't have any other African American friends and we were many countries and continents apart. When Trayvon Martin was murdered and then all the incidents since...they were right! No matter what the situation he needed to defer to the cops. How many of these incidents happened when we didn't have cell phones with cameras? The cops laughing???? Are these guys sick?
