During the Obama elections

my husband and I managed a time share. One of the nicest and kindest people we had ever dealt with happened to mention that if he was ever face to face with Obama, he would gladly pick up his gun and shoot him and never have a moments regret.

Scared the shit out of me!!!

But that is how peope are, I guess, when they are raised to hate!

Especially coming from a person who seemed nice.

That had to be a very shitty revelation about him. Sorry to hear about things like that.

except that it's stayed with me for years.

I guess because I never before knew a person who I admired who was so totally cold blooded.

It flipped my world.

I've looked at true racism and discrimination differently ever since. These people are deeply programmed. I have to wonder if it will ever change,

But I did wonder what other people might do in that situation. I didn't take it so much as an implied threat as an expression of hatred.
