This is just a fantasy, but ...

It's a year from now. Bernie and Trump are the nominees of the two parties. Hillary runs as an independent, with the justification that it is "necessary to save the country from extremism." And wins a bare majority in the electoral vote, with a near three-way split in the popular vote.

It's just a fantasy. Couldn't possibly happen. I'm sure.

Fantasy's are usually something you want to see. Personally, I think it would be horrible.

That seems a little strange to me. Don't you ever experience dark fantasies?

Though I would not say this one was dark. Just weird.

Any scenero with Hillary becoming POTUS is a nightmare in my book
Now if I were in the 1% I would be estatic if Hillary of any of the republicans won because I would get what I want but I am part of the 99% and I only will vote for those who are actually interested and have a proven track record of helping the 99%

Bernie or bust! it is up to us if we want real change, want more of what We the 99% been getting for the last 30+ years go right ahead and vote for Hillary or any of the republicans

What I do see is Carson gaining so much fundy support that Trump picks up his marbles and stomps off in a hissy fit. He will run a vanity campaign.

Carson the Republican nominee, and Trump, explaining that he was not treated fairly despite the assurances he had to the contrary, runs a "vanity campaign." Well, it's not a vanity campaign if you win. But I don't think he would win: my ending for this fantasy is that the democratic candidate wins, whoever -- O'M, H, B, even L.

But I don't see that happening. Hillary running would divide democrats, meanwhile republicans are united behind one canidate. It would help the republicans out, and possibly cause the electoral vote to keep anybody from having a majority. If that happens, Say Hello to president Trump.

The house would almost certainly vote in a Republican president.

Each state gets one vote, and I assume that the Republicans have the numbers to pull that off easily.

The Senate votes the vice president, and a republican would easily win. There are 13-14 states with 2 democratic senators, and I believe 19 with 2 republican senators. I would assume any state with 1 republican and one democrat could not come to a consensus, and would not cast a vote, but I'm not sure exactly how that works.

It would be interesting if the president and vice president were from different parties, which is possible, but I don't see it happening next election.

but I think Hillary would draw votes also from Trump. The financial elite don't want him and I think they would choose Hillary from those three.

It is probably more likely that if Trump were to win the nomination, someone like Bush or Walker would come in and run as an Independent.

I don't see that happening either, but it might be fun.

I believe as of next month it will be to late to be able to be on the ballot in every state if you've already declared for a party run.
