Maher:Trump’s speeches are the ‘brain farts’ and ramblings of a guy who inhaled construction debris

“Trump is always saying other countries are laughing at us. This is why they laugh at us — because of what he says and how we are taking it seriously,” Maher said. “He talks about how we shouldn’t have teleprompters? Please, let’s bring back teleprompters, because these are just the brain farts, the stream-of-consciousness ramblings of a guy who, obviously, over the course of his life, breathed in too much construction debris.”

“Trump says we have to ‘restore’ America to what it was before Obama came along?” Maher said. “So we should be restoring America back to where we had 10 percent unemployment, the stock market was 1,000 points lower. Who is beating us, China? Why — because their kids make our iPhones? Japan? They’ve been in a recession for like three decades. Mexico? I mean, this is insane.”

At the same time, he also told Matthews he and his network had to “look a little bit in the mirror” when the Hardball host expressed disbelief that Trump drew thousands to an event on Monday.

“Your network covered him from beginning to end,” Maher said, before asking, “Why? Why are you doing that?”“The same reason people went out to see him. Knowing he’d be on TV,” Matthews responded.“But why cover it like he’s Churchill giving an important speech?” Maher countered. “I mean, have you listened to these speeches?"

His every utterance is run (commercial free I've noticed) from start to finish? When have the networks done the same for Bernie, Clinton, O'Malley or any of the GOP candidates. And he says nothing of any substance - just yammers on and on about himself. Bring back "equal time" in broadcasting!

Tweety (we're all neocons now!) is too thick to understand that when Maher is talking about the media, he's also talking about MSNBC. My how their new management has wrecked what was already a perilous enterprise. Bring back Keith I say.

The one response I have for all this campaign nonsense is "Fukushima", when's the last time you heard a word from our media about Fukushima? A real goddamn disaster that hasn't ended, 3 reactor cores are missing - somewhere in the ground. Radiation is spewing out of that area and containment has been beyond inept. Three reactor cores are missing (it can't be emphasized enough), the middle east is on fire, the world's oceans have been harvested and polluted to the extent that half the normal sea life is gone according to the WWF, the number one reason (still) why Americans go broke is due to illness in the family, our infrastructure is in shambles and on and on it goes. And yet, every time I turn on my idiot box and try to find a somewhat non-right-wing station, I find myself subjected to the twaddle of Tweedy and his ilk spewing Trump diarrhea from their nonstop mouths. Hell, Fox probably provides more variety at this point?

Did I say that 3 reactor cores are missing?

How else would we know what a complete asshole he is. Listening to his endless self love speeches just cements the fact he is just the worse possible candidate any party could put up for President. Listening to him gives us the strength and resolve to fight harder for someone who really cares about America and it's people. What is difficult is realizing how many do support him and the rest of the clown car candidates. Scary.
