Santorum again, bad mouthing the Supreme Court. Funny that the GOP thinks that the Supreme Court should always side with right every time and if they don't, they should be replaced. Now, if I am not mistaking? A Supreme Court Justice is appointed and it is a life long appointment or if they step down is they only way to appoint a new Justice?

(9,314 posts)There was a movement being formed to impeach 5 of them. The announcement was going to take place on the steps either of the capital or the Supreme Court. I was monitoring this closely. The day of the announcement was scheduled for September 11, 2001 but then something happened that day to eclipse the public notice of the effort. It was ultimately decided that when 9/11 happened, there would be no further action because everything suddenly became less important if it was not national security related.
I believe the vote to remove a justice is taken in Congress.
