The Davis resistance goes far beyond LGBT rights. It stretches to ANY public service that violates Biblical teaching. In the view of Davis supporters any public servant could deny a public service they deem immoral according to their religious belief or the Bible. And we are only at the beginning of that resistance.

In their view POTUS is NOT the final authority in the US. GOD is. And the GOP presidential candidates largely agree with them. There is NO separation of church an state. The church IS the state.

Most of the public is not fully aware of this battle and do not realize the consequences of a belief system that does NOT accept any kind of secular government. The intent of a significant but small contingent of society is determined to "marry church and state" into one entity that even non believers must obey.

We err if we believe that ignoring this movement will work. That it will go away. If you look at all the religious influenced laws that are passing around the country at the state and local level you should really take notice. Family planning and contraception is already being denied in areas of the country. And prayer is being pushed and used in areas of the country.

Under the guise of religious persecution the religious right most likely is engaging in a long range insurgency.

3. This just terrifies me. I'm just glad I live in a region of the country

that has absolutely no tolerance for this kind of bullshit. However, like Fascism, this kind of thing tends to creep into everyday life until one day you turn around and wonder what the hell happened and how did it get so bad.
