American Journey for Justice ends in San Diego

http://reportingsandiego.com/2015/09/17/american-journey-for-justice-ends-in-san-diego/

Dr. Willie Blair
Sep 17, 2015 (San Diego) They came, elected officials, African American Leaders, Labor, the public. They came to march from San Diego’s Golden Hall, to the County Administration Building. It was a short march, but it was the end a series of marches that have been happening throughout the year.
The marches included an 860 mile march from Selma Alabama, to Washington DC. It was meant to emphasize that “Our Lives, Our Votes, Our Jobs, and Our Schools Matter.” The National Association of Colored People (NAACP) organized these marches.
Before the march Reporting San Diego had the chance to speak with Andre J Branch Ph.D., and President of the local San Diego Chapter. He told us, “we want elected officials at all levels of government to know that we matter.”
We asked Branch about the cases under the 182.5, which snared among others Aaron Harvey and Brandon Duncan. Branch told Reporting San Diego, “we believe that that law is an unjust law; and our legal interest in the NAACP is working to oppose that law, we want it abolished altogether.".
