He's as much a zealot as huckabee, he's Latino (so the party isn't a bunch of racist haters, you see) he can help carry Texas (which they can't afford to lose, it's the GOPs California) and he's a sitting Senator, which they think means he's an 'insider' (he is, but in no way will he be on the side of the rubes lol). He's a neoconservative to the marrow of his bones (why OF COURSE we should attack Iran), hes nearly as much as an economic Randian as Rand Paul, and finally, hes been making a hell of an effort to prop up The Donald by either agreeing with him and supporting him outright, or at leadt not attacking him the way carly did last nite. He's gunning for the #2spot for sure, and is probably savvy enough to pull it off. Yeah, the actual Paul Libertarians will bitch, but since the Warmongers on Wall Street don't care about them anyway, it won't translate to a substantial loss of votes unless they all decide that legal weed is important enough to them that they all vote for sanders, and that won't happen.
Trump can play the CEO that the idiots imagine he is, and everything else they think they need, that's Teddy.

The only two who could win are Jeb as the conventional candidate and Carson as the unconventional candidate. The rest are a waste of time.

But the way it is going, Trump will either be the candidate or else he will alienate so many potential voters (Hispanics e.g.) to make it impossible for Bush or Carson to win.

and the GOP thinks women, blacks, and Hispanics will vote for any woman, black, or Hispanic, respectively. I think Julian Castro will have a real shot at the VP slot on the Dem ticket if Hillary is the nominee. If Sanders is our candidate, he might offer the VP slot to O'Malley. He'd ask Warren, but she would probably refuse.

Bush has tanked in the polls, but he has the big war chest and the backing of the BFEE, so maybe they can rig the primaries for him, especially since the establishment considers him more electable in the GE.

Or maybe Romney will be drafted to head the ticket again.

At least to me, he came off this way:
He's willing to put his positions out there, but seems afraid to go on the attack against the likes of his primary opponents. He strikes me as a (potential) heavyweight boxer that's afraid to throw a real punch for fear of getting hit back and getting his clock cleaned.
Another term in the Senate and then a term as Governor of Florida (not that I would wish either of these things to happen) and he will have shed his fear of that lol.
He needs 10 more years, and he will very much be a force to be reckoned with. But he ain't there yet, and i think he knows it.

Trump ain't tanking so far. And if we are waiting for Trump to make "the big gaffe" like George Allen's "Macaca moment", well, Trump says a dozen things more offensive than this every day and so far it only makes him more popular.

This is how extreme the GOP core has become.

Bush's handlers must be peeing their pants now because none of them believed this was possible. If this goes on another 6 weeks, then Bush will be in real trouble.

Is to put Ohio in the red column, and doing so for that reason only would cost them something else.
For them to win they need to flip something like 5 of 6 swing states...
Ohio
Virginia
Penn
Florida
Nevada

It will never happen anyway, and trading one win for five losses is math even they can do.

get healthcare. These points are enough to ruin him with the majority of GOP voters. They want hatred to be expressed by their candidates.
