Marco Rubio - you know JACK about Rosa Parks

"She was an everyday American that changed the course of history."

No, she was not an everyday American, she was a second class citizen that "everyday Americans" in her town would not let drink out of the same fountain as them, attend the same schools, eat at the same restaurants, or even attend the same movie theater. Her act was deliberate, planned ahead of time, and meant to show just how much of "everyday America" was off-limits to her.

She was a true activist, a courageous pioneer, just as the people who are fighting Rubio's party efforts at voter suppression, and the defunding of women's health (she was on the board of Planned Parenthood, Marco). She was part of a justice movement that Rubio works against. He wants to reverse the course of history that she set in motion. How the hell could he identify with her and praise her with a straight face?

It drives me up a fucking wall to hear them co-opt her courage.
